Soyeon Choo
Deputy Secretary General of Admins
Greetings! My name is Soyeon, and I am delighted to serve as the Deputy Secretary-General of Admins for PANAMUN XXIX: Recovering Hope. I am currently a senior at the International School of Panama, where I have spent the last two years. I was born and raised in South Korea for most of my life, but I also lived in the United States and Venezuela. You can often find me playing classical guitar or digging Spotify for new music in my free time.
My MUN journey began in tenth grade as a delegate for PANAMUN XXVII. In the following year, I became an admin staff for PANAMUN XXVIII and a delegate for CAIMUN, both in an online environment. From the beginning, MUN has allowed me to speak for myself more confidently, think outside of my point of view, and become a better collaborative worker. Learning the beauties of MUN and working alongside Ana Sofia Tarazona--the previous DSG of Admins--inspired me for this position!
As the DSG of Admins, I mainly oversee the logistics of the conference and work with a wonderful team of admin staff, those who set up and take down the conference, maintain order in committee rooms, and enhance the physical presentation of the event.
Despite the challenges posed by the current world, the secretariat and staff strive to make this year’s conference the best possible. I hope PANAMUN XXIX will be a safe place for everyone to have fun and take risks. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. See you in October!
