Welcome! My name is Gloria Lan, and I am truly honored to be your Deputy Secretary-General of Marketing and Communications at PANAMUN XXIX. I am currently a senior, and this is my 4th year at the International School of Panama. I was born in Panama, but my family is Chinese.

 

I have been part of MUN since I was in 9th grade, and I have a strong passion for debate. MUN has taught me so much about things around us and putting different perspectives together to create a resolution; it inspires individuals to become leaders and speak up. I fear stepping out of my comfort zone, and PANAMUN pushed me to take a step forward to socialize. Apart from MUN, I am very interested in drawing, photography, golf, and business. 

 

At this year’s PANAMUN, I will be working as the head of marketing and communications, including website operation, video content creation, and social media. I applied for this position without even doubting it when I learned about it. Although I enjoyed debating, MarkCom has allowed me to enhance the experience for all incoming delegates and staff, even contributing my skills to PANAMUN. 

 

I can’t wait for this year’s conference, and I hope to make this year's conference the most memorable and engaging one yet!
