Ekaterina Korabelnikova
Secretary General
Hello! My name is Ekaterina Korabelnikova, and I have the honor of serving as the Secretary General of PANAMUN XXIX: Recovering Hope. I am currently a senior at the International School of Panama and have moved here two years ago. Although I spent the majority of my childhood in Venezuela, I am originally from Tyumen, Russia.
I initially started participating in Model United Nations in 9th grade when I first joined my school’s debate team. Over fourteen conferences later, I've fallen in love with the world of international relations and debate. Ever since the first time I dipped my toes into the world of debate, MUN has pushed me beyond my comfort zone and challenged me to find my voice and use it to make a change. In addition to attending a variety of international and domestic conferences such as The Hague’s International Model United Nations (THIMUN) and the South American Model United Nations (SAMUN), I have previously served in PANAMUN as a delegate and as the Chair of the Human Rights Council.
I hold a fervent passion and adoration for the collaborative and innovative element of MUN, and I strongly believe that PANAMUN XXIX will exceed and exemplify these characteristics. As Secretary General, it is my goal to propel all individuals involved in PANAMUN, to pursue their passions and find their voices. Aside from debate, in my free time, you will find me playing volleyball, laughing with my friends, and spending time at the beach.
PANAMUN promises three days of exciting debate filled with the exploration of intricate global issues and the opportunity to meet new people from across the globe. I am eager to meet you all in October, and I hope you will be able to enjoy PANAMUN as much as I enjoy being a part of its planning process. See you in October!
