Our theme for PANAMUN XXVIII is The Power of A Story: Raising Voices - Inspiring Change. As a result of the recent proliferation of social media and the increasingly fast-paced 24 hour news cycle, the human effect of global issues tends to be portrayed through a statistical and intangible manner. By embracing this theme, the conference seeks to humanize challenges and inspire a deep sense of empathy for marginalized individuals around the world amongst its delegates. Within every global conflict or issue there exists rich and powerful stories of affected individuals that have the potential to inspire immense change if acknowledged and made aware to the global community. PANAMUN aspires to create an environment where these individuals' stories of human struggle are recognized and acted upon, along with serving as a conference that encourages its own participants to raise their own voices.
