The Contemporary Crisis Committee (CCC) is a unique and dynamic new committee focused on modern-day dilemmas and organizations. This distinct focus allows the committee to operate differently from other MUN committees, bringing delegates into contemporary crisis situations and allowing them to confront the same pressing issues that world leaders are combating today. Here, delegates will be given the opportunity to represent specific contemporary figures in a current crisis and write history from their figure’s personal ideologies. Throughout the debate, delegates must demonstrate creative problem solving, knowledge, strategy, and the ability to work under pressure in order to create and resolve crises that will form the basis of the debate. Delegates are allowed the freedom to be the drivers of the debate, using innovative notes, clauses, and crises to advance their own personal agenda.
