Adithi

Hello delegates, and welcome to PANAMUN XXIX! My name is Adithi Bhat, I am 17 years old, and I am currently a senior at the International School of Panama. My family is originally from India, however, I was born in Singapore, and have lived there for the first eight years of my life. I then moved to Panama where I have been living for nine years. I have participated in three MUN conferences before, however, this will be my first time as a chair. I have acquired a lot of debating experience over the past years as I have participated in different committees and even won the Research Award last year. Apart from debate, I enjoy playing basketball, painting, and spending time with friends and family. I am extremely honored to be one of your chairs for the Human Rights Council (HRC) and am excited to see how you work together to create meaningful resolutions in order to solve the issues at hand. I look forward to having a passionate debate and a fun conference overall. Best of luck and see you soon!

Francisco

Hello delegates! My name is Francisco Jeldres, I am honored to be one of the chairs for the Human Rights Council committee in PANAMUN XXVII, and look forward to watching you debate. I am currently a Junior at the International School Nido de Aguilas in Chile. I am originally from Chile, but I lived a big portion of my life in Argentina and also India. I have always been a person that likes to debate with other people and expressing my ideas, even if it means contradicting others. I attended my first conference in 9th grade and even though it was a scary experience at times, it was very rewarding and fun; I have since participated in almost every conference that I have had the chance to attend. Debate is a great way to learn about issues around the world and develop communication skills useful in real life thus it is one of the things I really enjoy. Other than MUN, I like spending time with my friends and traveling. I look forward to working with you and I will do my best to make this a fun and engaging debate.

Hello delegates! My name is Rafael Wu, a rising junior studying at the Escola Americana do Rio de Janeiro (EARJ), in Brazil. I am honored to have the opportunity to chair the Human Rights Council for this year’s conference. A fun fact about me is that I was born in Rio de Janeiro but raised in Southeastern China, where all of my family members are from. Since becoming a delegate in 8th grade, Model United Nations has never ceased to charm me with its elaborate diplomatic language and complex global issues. Apart from MUN, I spend my time playing tennis, reading books or just browsing through Netflix. This edition of  PANAMUN will be my tenth conference and I look forward to rounds of heated debates within our committee. Lastly, I wish you the best of luck for this year’s conference and hope you can gain meaningful experience at PANAMUN !
