CHAIRS
Marcello
Welcome delegates! My name is Marcello Pecile and I am a senior at the International School of Panama. I am honored and excited to be one of the MS World Health Organization chairs at PANAMUN XXIX. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and moved to Panama eleven years ago. I started my debate experience in 9th grade, and my love for MUN has grown since then. Participating in three other conferences. Two of them were in previous PANAMUNs with the last one being at the LAMUN conference, because of these experiences I have learned to speak out and not be afraid of public speaking. Apart from debate, I love hanging out with friends and learning about pressing global issues. I am looking forward to seeing you all soon and will be ready to hear your ideas on how to solve the committee’s issues. Good luck, and I hope you all have fun at this conference!
Sofia
Hey delegates! My name is Sofia Roldan and I am currently a Junior at the International School of Panama. I am very honored to be one of the chairs in this year’s World Health Organization committee and look forward to meeting each and every one of you. I was originally born in Boston, however, because of my parent’s work, we had to move several times and ended up living all over the world. This is now going to be my third year in Panama City. Ever since I started my MUN experience as a freshman in high school, I’ve loved debating and the experience that comes along with it as well. This conference is a great opportunity to learn from different perspectives and develop various skills such as public speaking and critical thinking. Apart from debate, I enjoy reading, playing tennis, and spending time with my family and friends. I am more than excited to meet you in October and ensure you have the best experience so far! Best of luck to all and hope to see you soon!
