Monchi

Hello Delegates, my name is Juan Estevez, but people know me as Monchi. I am a senior at the International School of Panama. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but I lived in Marbella, Spain, before moving to Panama in 2017. In my spare time, I love doing enduro, snowboard, and hanging out with my friends. I am a big computer science and bioengineering enthusiast. I am the current captain of the ISP VEX Robotics Team and the Near Space Club Tech & Eng. Team Captain. I have participated in PANAMUN since 9th grade and this is my second year of having the honor to chair the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development committee. I’m hoping you guys are as eager as I am to participate in PANAMUN XXIX. I will do everything I can to ensure all the delegates have the best experience possible. I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know all of you! If you have questions about the conference/committee, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Welcome to PANAMUN!

Onat

Hello delegates! My name is Onat Ergin, and I am a junior at American Robert College of Istanbul. I am ecstatic to be one of the chairs in United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development (UNCSTD) in PANAMUN XXVIII. I was raised in Tekirdag — a city very close to Istanbul— but I’m now living in Istanbul for my school. Likewise, I began my MUN journey in 9th grade with a huge amount of unforgettable memories at conferences in Istanbul and The Hague. I’ve debated a lot of political concepts with people from all around the world. MUN helped me build up confidence and speak fluently. PANAMUN will be 14th conference, and it will be my first chairing experience. Besides MUN, I’m interested in Ultimate Frisbee, and spending quality time with friends and family is essential for me. I’ve met with a lot of friends during MUNs and socializing is one of the most important benefits of MUN since possible lifelong friendships can be established during conferences. I will work as hard as possible to provide you an engaging and fruitful debate experience. I’m looking forward to meeting you!
