Felipe

Hello, delegates! My name is Felipe da Paixão and I am a sophomore at the International School of Panama. I am delighted to be one of the chairs for the World Health Organization. Previously, I have participated in two other MUN conferences, however, this is my first time being a chair. I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, so it should come as no surprise to you that one of my passions is soccer. I play pretty much every day and I enjoy it thoroughly. I also enjoy playing video games in my spare time. Especially sports video games (Fifa, Madden, 2k, NHL, etc) and shooting games. I have lived in four countries (Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and Panama) and I speak three languages fluently (Portuguese, Spanish, and English). I enjoy debate and MUN conferences because it allows me to investigate global issues and explore points of view different from mine. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you and I’m excited for PANAMUN XXIX.

Sarah

Hello delegates, welcome to PANAMUN XXVII! My name is Sarah Usandivaras, and I am a rising senior at the American School of Asunción. I am so excited to be part of this year’s conference and so honored to be a chair in the World Health Organization and meet all of you. I was born in New York, but I have been living in Asunción for 5 years so I consider it my second home. My experience in MUN began with debate and then gradually shifted to conferences! I have always loved the ability MUN has to express world issues in an open way, and the ideas that stem from discussion. Going from a delegate to chair I have learned the amazing opportunity that it is just to participate and I have learned so many important lessons just through conversation.  I know that you will have an amazing time considering the circumstances and develop skills that will carry over to all aspects of life. I look forward to meeting you all and good luck!
