Hello Delegates! My name is Juliana Monroy, and I’m currently a senior at the International School of Panama. I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, and moved to Panama two years ago. This year I have the honor of being part of PANAMUN XXXI as a president of the International Court of Justice committee (ICJ). My first ever MUN conference was when I was in 6th grade. This experience was challenging because I didn’t like the idea of speaking in front of people. However, being a delegate helped me develop communication skills that I use daily. I also had the opportunity to be a delegate in my sophomore year, and then in my junior year, I was a chair. Apart from debate, I love music, cooking, helping others, and spending time with the people I love. If you have any questions, feel free to email me; I will always be happy to help and guide you. Hi delegates! My name is Amanda Haddad Amorim, I am a senior studying at the International School of Panama. I was born in Brazil but only lived there for four months. I was also fortunate enough to have lived in the United States, Luxembourg and am currently living in Panama. Alongside debating, I am thoroughly passionate about politics, history and am one of the leaders of the Girl Up club here in ISP. My hobbies include exercising, spending time with friends and family, baking, and playing guitar. Furthermore, I am beyond excited to be a chair in PANAMUN for the second time, and for the first time as a special committee chair. I admire how MUN not only allows but encourages students to speak upon relevant issues that matter to our world and to ourselves. This is a great opportunity to forecast innovative skills and even meet incredible people on the way. I am truly looking forward to hearing all your ideas, listening to your thoughts, and most importantly meeting you all!
