Hi! My name is Markus Kempin, and I will be the Deputy Secretary General of the New Middle School Branch of Panamun. I am thrilled to make the courageous students that decide to debate at PANAMUN XXVI have a successful, fun conference. I was born in Guatemala City, yet I have also lived in Panama, and Germany. I have a deep passion for debate, yet i also enjoy swimming for the ISP team, and playing the Guitar for my band.

I have been an avid participant in MUN conferences, since the 8th grade giving me a idea of what you, the Middle School will feel during the conference. I know it might be intimidating, or scary but I strongly encourage you to take the leap of faith and participate, if it wouldn't have been for PANAMUN XXIII, i would have never discovered the amazing community that is MUN, and all the experiences it holds.

Since that conference I have now debated in over 7 conferences, including Harvard’s HACIA Democracy, and THIMUN in the netherlands, which have been some of the funnest times in my life.

This year the PANAMUN Secretariat have decided to create a Middle School conference, and i alongside my awesome co-DSG’s Gabby, and Mariana have been assigned the task to make it the best it can possibly be. I am thrilled to cooperate with them, the MS Administration and you, the Future Delegates to make this conference be both fun and full of fruitful debate on controversial, interesting issues.

I cannot wait to see you all at PANAMUN XXVI, and remember take the leap, and become a delegate, because i guarantee it is worth it!
