Patricia Cucalón
Deputy Secretary General of Communications
Hello! My name is Patricia Cucalon and I am beyond excited to be your Deputy Secretary General of Communications for PANAMUN XXVI! I am currently a senior at the International School of Panama, where I have been a student since 5th grade. I was born in Panama and have lived here for most of my life, except for two years, during which I lived in Taiwan. Writing has always been one of my biggest passions, so I wanted to be a part of Echo Press since I first heard about its existence in PANAMUN. During my first year, I was a delegate of Saudi Arabia in UNPBC and, although I loved the experience and learned a lot of skills, such as public speaking, I fell in love with Echo Press when I joined a year later.

I was a reporter in Echo Press for two years in a row, which helped me improve both as a person and writer. Through Echo Press, I got to learn about many aspects of the conference I hadn’t known about before; I got to interview the Head of Admin, the Secretary General, and both of the keynote speakers, Ron Haviv and Dr. Charity Wayua. In addition to that, I was asked to write an article on the history of PANAMUN and Echo Press for last year’s special 25th anniversary edition. When researching about these histories, I was able to see how much the conference has grown and flourished and all of the amazing people who have contributed to its upbringing. I can’t wait for this year’s conference and I hope that, through my hard work and dedication, I will be able to contribute to making it the best one yet! I wish you the best of luck and I hope PANAMUN touches your life like it has touched mine. Let’s strengthen our humanities!
