Hello! Welcome to PANAMUN XXVII  "Building Bridges: Confronting Global Polarization”!  My name is Fernando Silva and I am going to be your Deputy Secretary-General for High School this year’s PANAMUN.

I am Venezuelan, born in Caracas, and I have lived in Panama for about eight years. I am currently a senior at the International School of Panama. My experience in MUN began in PANAMUN XXIV as a delegate and since then I have been in other conferences of PANAMUN and even HACIA. PANAMUN and MUN have always been a unique experience in which I have met many people and perspectives around the world. MUN has taught me that we can solve issues if we have the common goal to make a better world for everyone. MUN allows us to become concerned global citizens and not only understand the world we live in but understand ourselves and our abilities as leaders. In addition to MUN, I am very interested in other areas such as theater, photography, and science.

This year I am very excited to be a part of the Secretariat for the first time and I don’t doubt that the other members of the Secretariat will do a great job in running an amazing conference for you guys. I am really looking forward to working with chairs and delegates this year so the debate experience itself can be the best PANAMUN has ever seen.

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns! I hope to see you soon!
