Hello and welcome to this year’s PANAMUN! My name is Gabrielle Hodes, but most people call me Gigi.

 

I was born in Manhattan, New York, and lived there until I was 10--when my parents decided to move on a sailboat. We spent almost two years sailing around the Caribbean until we decided to move back to land and settled in Panama.

 

I’ve been living here for five years, but I’ve been at ISP for two and a half years. I’ve been doing debate for almost 4 years, so this year will be my fourth PANAMUN and my tenth conference (including international ones like THIMUN, HACIA, and PILPUL Debate Argentina). Apart from MUN, I enjoy dancing, reading, and hanging out with friends, but I particularly love debate because I love seeing and understanding how different people think and form their opinions.
