Secretary General

DSC_0199.jpeg

Hi! My name is Mariana Colmenares and I am currently a senior at the International School of Panama. I moved to Panama two years ago, but am originally from Venezuela. After leaving venezuela at a young age I moved to Brazil, where I lived for the majority of my life apart from a year where I lived in singapore.

I first got involved in MUN when the junior Model United Nations section was started at my school in Brazil when I was in 7th grade. Since then I've been actively participating in conferences, such as trips to THIMUN, where I participated as delegate, chair, and most recently president of the ECOSOC, as well HACIA. This year's PANAMUN will be my 14th conference overall.

I have the honor of being the Secretary General for PANAMUN XXVII along with an amazing team of DSGs. I am incredibly excited and hope that along with the rest of the secretariat, as well as the student officer team, we can make this a great conference for those of you attending.

I am eager to meet you all in October, and I hope you will be able to enjoy PANAMUN as much as I enjoy being a part of its planning process. I aspire to provide a gratifying experience by the means of cooperation, creativity, and initiative in every committee. See you all in October!
