Established on December 11th, 1946 in New York, The United Nations Children’s Fund was created with aims to help children in humanitarian need after the devastating effects of World War II. Since then, with its 36 members, this organization’s main goal has been to help children’s welfare; more specifically, it seeks to improve children’s education, rights, health, and nutrition all across the globe. The main sponsors of UNICEF, who carry important roles in the funding of aid, include various governments and private contributors.
