Gisell

Hello delegates and welcome to PANAMUN XXVIII 2020! My name is Gisell Cottone and I have the honor and privilege to be this year's Commission of Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) Committee Middle School Chair! I am originally from Valencia, Venezuela and raised as an Italian, but I have spent 6 years of my life in the city and school where PANAMUN is going to take place, Panama city. Throughout my life, I have explored a variety of activities in sports and sciences which I incredibly enjoy. I have participated in 4 science fairs, resulting in 1st place winner in all of them. As well as joining the soccer, tennis basketball, robotics, and IGEM teams.  I am currently a senior at International School of Panama and have been engaged in debating since 2013. Throughout the years, I have grown a great interest in MUN by joining debate clubs and attending MUN conferences where I´ve had unforgettable experiences. In fact, I chaired last year in this same committee. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to participate as a returning Chair. I am thrilled and excited to meet all delegates and start the conference. I am looking forward to having a successful conference and I encourage every single delegate to give their complete potential and respect towards the committee and others.
I can´t wait to have an incredible conference full of exciting debates and experiences. I wish you all the best in PANAMUN XXVIII! See you soon!

Bassima

Hey delegates and welcome to PANAMUN XXVII! My name is Bassima Yaafar and I am currently a senior at the International School of Panama. I was born in Panama where I have lived most of my life, however, I have also lived in Lebanon. This is my third year participating in PANAMUN and my first year as a chair. At my first conference, I was lost and nervous to say something. However, in my second year, I was more confident and was able to contribute to the debate. This was the same year I noticed how much I actually liked the debating and how much I liked being aware of what was happening around the world. Apart from debating, I like spending time with my friends, baking, and traveling. This year I have the honor to be one of your chairs of the MS CCPCJ II committee. I am looking forward to meeting you all and hearing all of your ideas. I will try my best to make this conference one of the best PANAMUN experiences for you! If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me, good luck!
