Hugo
Hi, My name is Hugo Suarez, and currently I’m a Senior in the International School of Panama. I’m originally Spanish, but I moved to Panama from Ecuador 11 years ago, and I have been a student in ISP ever since. I’ve been participating in MUN conferences since 9th grade, and my debate experience includes being a PANAMUN delegate for 3 years, and being a delegate in Thimun 2020. These conferences have given me all the confidence and skill needed to chair an MUN debate. And It’s because of this that I’m so excited that this year I’ll be having the honor of charing the Middle School United Nations Security Council, for my fifth ever conference. And I’m truly hopeful that you are all as excited as I am about participating and experiencing PANAMUN XXVIII. I will try my very best to make this conference as exciting and as enjoyable as possible to all of my delegates, and I can’t wait to chair all of the fantastic debates that are surely going to occur in this committee.
Jake
Hello everyone! My name is Jake Mejía and I’m currently a junior at the International School of Panama. I have been in ISP all my life, ever since pre-kinder, meaning I’ve probably spent twelve to thirteen years studying in this school. Outside of school, I have a lot of passions and hobbies I like to dedicate time to. Firstly, I am a huge fan of both theater and film. Watching plays and movies, as well as analyzing them, is one of my favorite pass times. I also enjoy playing Dungeons and Dragons, a table top role-playing game focused on fantasy and problem solving. In terms of PANAMUN experience, this is the third conference I’ve participated in and my first time being a chair. This year, I am chair of the UNDP I committee for middle school, alongside Hugo Suarez, and we are so excited to see what this conference brings.
