Johannes

Hey, delegates! My name’s Johannes - you can call me Joey - and I’m a senior at the International School of Panama. I am half Norwegian and half Ivorian and have been living in Panama for 3 years. This is my second year chairing the Historical Crisis Committee, and I am very excited about bringing the best out of all you in this upcoming conference. I have participated in debate conferences in Panama and Italy, and PANAMUN XXVIII will be my fifth. My passions include cycling, track & field, getting involved in the student community and learning new skills (I recently learnt to ride a unicycle). With Historical Crisis being a special committee, I know that you are truly committed delegates who are looking for something different from the typical. I can’t wait to meet you all in October, and please email me if you have any questions!

Stan â€‹â€‹

Hello, my name is Stan Stevens I am now a senior at the international school of Panama. I was born in the Netherlands and moved to Panama 1 year ago from the US.  Last year was the first year I was able to participate in the Panamun conference, the experience of which was meaningful and enjoyable. While I very much enjoy debating, I also enjoy the experience of biking, swimming, and playing volleyball. This year, I will be having the honor of being one of the chairs for the Historical Crisis Committee (HCC) in the next PANAMUN XXVIII. This year I am looking forward to seeing what you delegates come up with and the creative solutions you will find to the problems thrown your way. I am excited to have the opportunity to listen to your ideas and proposals, and be surprised with the solutions you come up with. I’m eagerly anticipating being a chair for your debating experience and I wish you good fortune in the debates to come. See you soon!

Arhan

Hey delegates! My name is Arhan Chhabra, and I am currently a 10th grader here at the International School of Panama. I am from India, but I was born in Singapore. I have also had the chance to live in Denmark and India for a couple of years before returning to Singapore. And eventually, I came to Panama in 9th grade. I started taking part in debate in Singapore by joining small conferences before I took a bigger step when I chose to join the debate club here in ISP. As for debate experience in Panama, I have taken part in CEP MOAS and this will be my second time attending PANAMUN (the first was as a delegate in HCC). But apart from debate, my hobbies include reading, cycling, and table tennis! I am more than excited to hear all of your ideas and solutions to solve this year’s crisis. Historical Crisis truly provides delegates with a rich and unforgettable experience, and it is a privilege to be one of the chairs for my favorite committee. I hope all of you have a great experience, and I can’t wait to see you all in October!
