Maria Belen Mora

Hello delegates, and welcome to PANAMUN XXXI! My name is Maria Belen Mora, and I am currently a senior at the International School of Panama. I’m incredibly honored to serve as one of the chairs of the CCPCJ committee this year. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina; However, I have lived in Panama since I was three, and my mom is Peruvian. Although I started MUN at a young age, I found my passion for debate in my sophomore year. Having attended thirteen conferences, debate has quickly become vital to my life. It has helped me improve my diplomatic and public-speaking skills, pushing me to inform myself about international current events. I believe that by participating in debate, you learn how to use your voice and create solutions about issues that have deeply impacted our world.  Outside of debate, I enjoy playing the guitar, watching films, and traveling. I’m additionally very passionate about helping around. Hence, I will ensure to facilitate the research process and encourage a fruitful debate. If you have any questions at any time, do not hesitate to contact me! I am thrilled to meet you all, and I wish you the best of luck!

Anneliese Garcia

Hello, delegates! My name is Anneliese Garcia and I’m very excited to be a part of this year's Panamun XXXI. I’m currently a junior at The International School of Panama and I will be your chair for the Human Rights Council committee. I’m from Honduras where I lived for a short period of time, then I moved to Mexico where I lived for 2 ½ years and lastly I moved to Panama where I’ve lived for most of my life now. I’ve been in ISP for 12 years. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, running, listening to and playing music, and hanging out with friends and family. I am an outgoing person and have been interested in debate for many years. PANAMUN has helped me learn how to use my voice and is a great opportunity for students to expand their knowledge on global issues, especially those interested in them. I am incredibly proud to be the chair of HRC at PANAMUN XXXI and hope to share my passion for debate with all of you.

I’m looking forward to meeting all of you and if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out.
