Hello, my name is Henrique Checcucci and I am a junior at the International School of Panama. I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and I have previously lived in Cuba, but I have been living in Panama since 2016. I have participated in two PANAMUN conferences were I had unforgettable experiences. This year I will have the honor to be a Chair of the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, also known as UN Women. It will be the first time this committee will be a part of the PANAMUN conference so I’m excited to see all the new ideas and discussions that will spark as a result of it. I’m hoping you guys are as eager as I am to partake in PANAMUN XXVI. I will do everything I can to ensure everyone enjoys their experience and that this conference will be the best one to date. I am looking forward to meeting all of you this October and feel free to contact me if you feel the need!

Sara Rosas

Welcome to PANAMUN XXVI! I am Sara Rosas, and I will be one of this year’s chairs for the United Nations Women committee. I am originally from Caracas, Venezuela but have been living in Panama for the past 9 years. I am currently a Senior at ISP and have been participating in PANAMUN since the 8th grade. I have always had a passion for debating and global issues, and I think PANAMUN is an ideal conference to combine these two passions. PANAMUN is a place for delegates to experience a real life United Nations debate about specific issues while representing a country’s position. Debate is an outstanding opportunity for delegates to learn about international politics as well as real, current worldwide issues. I love seeing delegates who are passionate about specific topics speak and participate to their full capacity. This will be my second year chairing and sadly my last, but I know that it will be the best. I’m am eager for what is to come and can’t wait to see you all there! Prepare yourselves, and good luck!
