Maria Fernanda Caceres

Hello mini delegates! I am thrilled to be part of your PANAMUN MMXIV experience! My name is Maria Fernanda Caceres, and I will be co-chairing the Middle School Human Rights Council this year. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, but moved to Panama when i was just five years old. My interest for debate started after my first PANAMUN conference, where I visualized all the room for improvement ahead of me. It is gratifying to allow yourself to overcome your fears and step out of your comfort zone to become a better student, but most importantly, a well rounded person. Also, I have seen myself being more and more absorbed into current political events, as i think it is our responsibility as citizens of the world to formulate our own opinions! Looking back at the personal growth that I have accomplished throughout my High School experience, I must definitely give some credit to my involvement in debating. This said, PANAMUN and debating in general, will hopefully spark different interest and self realizations for you all.

I am thrilled to unveil what you all have been preparing to bring to the debate, since MS committees have gained an admirable reputation from last year´s conference. I am also excited to moderate a conference that will produce fructiferous experiences for all, because they will unravel into forming incredible debaters. Without a doubt, Santiago and I are committed to our delegates every step of the way, to allow you to impress us with your full potential! See you at the conference!
