Henrique Checcucci

Hello, my name is Henrique Checcucci and I am a senior at the International School of Panama. I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and I have previously lived in Cuba, but I have been living in Panama since 2016.  I'm a big fan of motorsport, especially F1, and I'm the current captain of the VEX robotics team. I have participated in three PANAMUN conferences where I had unforgettable experiences, two as a delegate and one as a chair. This year I will have the honor to be a Chair of the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development, also known as UNCSTD.  I’m hoping you guys are as eager as I am to partake in PANAMUN XXVII. I will do everything I can to ensure everyone enjoys their experience and that this conference will be the best one to date. I am looking forward to meeting all of you this October and feel free to contact me if you feel the need!

Nikita Nair

Hello Delegates! Welcome to Panamun XXVII! My name is Nikita Nair, and I am so excited to be chairing the UNCSTD as a foreign chair this year! I am a current high school senior at the La Jolla Country Day School in California, USA. I am a founder and co-president of our school’s MUN team for the past 5 years. Our team has traveled and won numerous awards both nationally and internationally. Last year, our school traveled to Panama to participate in this very same conference! Model UN is a topic near and dear to my heart as my grandfather was an Indian diplomat and raised me off of stories of what crucial changes small groups can usher. With such a charged global climate, it is now more than ever important for people, regardless of age or status, to speak up and advocate for themselves and for what they believe is right. I am beyond ecstatic to be chairing the UNCSTD as I am extremely interested in aerospace medicine. My other interests include fencing, music, reading, and (when I can) sleeping. I firmly believe that each MUN committee is only what you choose to make of it, so I recommend putting in the time and effort to give it your all and gain the most you can from this conference! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I can’t wait to see you all in October!
