Paloma Alberola
Hi delegates and welcome to PANAMUN XXVII! I am currently a senior at the International School of Panama and I will be one of your chairs for the UNW this year. I am very excited to debate controversial issues and to meet all of my delegates. I was originally born in Madrid, Spain, moved to Panama when I was 10 years old, and stayed here till today. I have participated in PANAMUN XXIV and PANAMUN XXV as a delegate, later I participated in PANAMUN XXVI as admin. I have been participating in debate since 9th grade. This will be my fourth conference and I am very excited to be chairing one of my favorite committees, that has shown great debating skills on the issues presented over the last few years, especially in last PANAMUN’s session, where it was a new comitee addition. Outside of MUN I enjoy visual and performing arts, often participating in the school’s musicals and plays. I also enjoy playing volleyball and horse backrideing, and love spending time with my friend and meeting new people. I look forward to meeting you in debate!
Andres Uzcategui
Hello there! My name is Andres Uzcategui and I am a junior at the International School of Panama. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela and I’ve lived in Panama for almost 12 years. Apart from debate or MUN, I enjoy participating in musical activities and keeping close relationships with my friends. I’ve always been pleased by the professionalism of the PANAMUN since I began delegating two years ago. And now, I’m very honored to be chair of the UN Women committee, and I’m very much looking forward to you, delegates, debate and share your perspectives on these issues. I’m hoping that the passion that I hold for this committee and topics are reflected on how the delegates perform and present themselves. I wish you the best of luck and I anticipate seeing you soon!
