Welcome to PANAMUN XXIV delegates!

My name is Carlos Irisarri and for this 24th session of PANAMUN I will have the honor of being your Deputy President of the General Assembly. I was born in Paris and spent through most of my childhood in France. My mother is Panamanian, and so I moved here approximately six years ago. ISP is an amazing school full of opportunities for its students and I’m proud to represent the student body being president of the high school student council. In my free time, I enjoy watching and playing basketball (when I have time), I play knowledge bowl and I work the lights for all performances in our performing arts center. Of course I enjoy debating and have been doing so since I was little. I truly hope my multiculturalism and my excitement for the conference can bring PANAMUN to the next level of MUN debate.

l have a passion for PANAMUN that is unparalleled. See for a long time in my life, I wanted to be a chemical engineer. In 8th grade, I joined the conference for the first time and realized my true passion: diplomacy and international relations. This sounds extremely cliché but MUN really did change my life, even simply by making me realize my passion and by helping me chose what I will be applying to study for in the fall. My job this PANAMUN is to facilitate the training of officers and establishing committees themselves, on top of co-chairing the actual General Assembly, and so I truly believe that this year’s officers are and will be extremely capable. To you delegates, I’ve been where you are now many times and trust me when I say you are about to embark on a mind-blowing three day journey.

To the best PANAMUN yet!
