CHAIRS
Hi delegates! My name is Aline Yaafar, and I am a junior at the International School of Panama. I was born in Panama, but my family is from Beirut, Lebanon. I have lived here my whole life, making this my thirteenth year in ISP. Some things l love are traveling, watching movies, reading, and hanging out with my friends. I will be chairing the International Court of Justice Committee for PANAMUN XXX. This year makes my third year participating in PANAMAUN, and my first as a chair. My experience with MUN started in 8th grade, but I never went to conferences because I remember being too scared to speak in front of people. However, I was able to change that in PANAMAUN XXVIII, during my first conference as a delegate. I am really looking forward to meeting you, and I am sure this will be one of the best conferences yet!

Hello! My name is Abel Resende and I am currently a 12th grader at the International School of Panama. I have studied at the International school of Panama since kindergarten. When I was in middle school I had always wanted the opportunity to become a chair. I am now a two time chair, previously leading the Human Rights and UNCSTD HS committees and this year it is an honor to be one of the chairs of the International Court of Justice. I am excited to meet all of you and help you all have a great debate. I have lots of experience being a delegate and therefore I know how a chair must act and behave to make the debate flow. I have participated in MUN since seventh grade and have gone to multiple conferences all around the globe. Apart from debating I love to watch and play all types of sports especially soccer and basketball. I also love hearing music and keeping up to date with the world’s biggest issues. Being part of Panamun XXX is a great responsibility and I can assure you, I will try my best to make this conference the best one yet. Alongside my fellow co-chair, we will guide you through the conference and help you when needed. I hope to meet and greet all of you really soon. Help me make this committee the best one ever!
