Miguel Gomez

Hey guys! My name is Miguel Gomez and I am a current senior at the International School of Panama. I am originally from Bolivia, but have been living in Panama for about 13 years and this will be my fourth and last MUN conference. Having said that I believe this year’s conference will be great and I look forward to meeting you guys for an amazing debate. I will have the honor of chairing the UNCTAD committee, a new addition to the conference this year, and will make sure to bring out a debate like never before. I hope that you delegates are as excited as I am and will work rigorously to solve ongoing issues during the three days of debate. Other than that I also hope that we create friendships and have a fun and unforgettable experience for the few days in which we will be together. See you then!

Alec Veit

Hi! My name is Alec Veit and I am one of this year’s visiting international chairs. I am currently a senior at the Atlanta International School in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to the U.S I have already lived in five countries, and have been doing MUN since Middle School where I first started off as a pager for High School conferences. Since then I have been to 8 conferences in Germany, Atlanta, and New York. Apart from debating, I really enjoy playing basketball, lifting, and travelling. This year I have received the privilege to be chairing The United Nations Committee on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) at PANAMUN XXVII, and I am very excited to witness your creative and thoughtful inputs in helping make the world a better place for all. I am going to do my best to create an enthusiastic, fun, and interesting atmosphere for everyone to strive in. I look forward to meeting all of you in debate!
