Nicole Fraija - Chair

Hello advocates and judges,

Welcome to the International Court of Justice. My name is Nicole Fraija, and I would like to welcome you to PANAMUN XXIV. This year, I have the privilege of being the president of ICJ. It is such an honor to lead such an amazing and prestigious committee. I am 17 years old, and a current senior at the International School of Panama. My MUN experience began in the ninth grade, and has developed throughout my entire high school career. Last year, however, was the best year yet. I had the opportunity of being an advocate in this very committee. I fell in love with ICJ, and that is why I know that with hard work, dedication, and passion, we will go above and beyond the standards that our past legacies have left behind. ICJ might seem like a very big workload, but that hard work will pay off. PANAMUN is a great place to learn and push your limits, and we hope that this year, students will take this great opportunity to grow both as citizens and as students. Last year, I felt intimidated and scared; but I can assure you that, when you speak for the first time, this feeling will go away. Feel free to contact us, as we are here to help and guide you. Get ready for the best PANAMUN yet!

Rebeca Rivas - Co-Chair

Hey! My name is Rebeca Rivas Florido and welcome to PANAMUN XXIV’s International Court of Justice! It is my pleasure to inform you that I will be the Vice President of ICJ this year and I am looking forward to making the best out of this committee with every single participant who is willing to put time and dedication to make this the best ICJ council there has ever been. I am an International School of Panama senior student. Therefore, this is my last year therefore my last PANAMUN conference. I am hoping to make it unforgettable. During the last three PANAMUN conferences I participated as a delegate, two years in the Human Rights Committee and one in the ESCAP Committee. For me, the International Court of Justice is a Committee where action is fundamental, and from what I saw last year I can’t wait to see how this year’s advocates and judges stand up and make the President and the Vice President, me, enjoy every single part of the hard work that would be done by the time the conference arrives. The opportunity of participating in PANAMUN is completely amazing since it gives students the chance to learn, stand up, meet people from different places and obviously enjoy the whole experience. Because of this, I value this conference and I hope everybody else does. See you soon and let’s make this PANAMUN XXIV a special one!
