Nicolas Bran - Chair

I would like to kindly welcome all of you to the 2016 PANAMUN XXIV conference. I am Nicolas Bran, this year’s President of the Security Council. I have been a part of the ISP community for ten years now, and my experience with MUN began in the eighth grade where I attended my first PANAMUN conference here at ISP, as a delegate of the Environmental committee. I have since then participated in over four local MUN conferences and have added an international conference in New York to my MUN experience. My years at ISP have allowed me to find my passion for participating in conferences and other such events, for which reason I am looking forward to making this PANAMUN a successful and interactive experience. Being very involved in service learning projects in the community, I have experienced first-hand what it means to try to solve issues that affect us on a global scale, and therefore I am thrilled to see every single member of the conference create strong and well developed resolutions that confront these issues that will be debated. Sharing a passion for debating and public interaction, this PANAMUN conference is an opportunity to connect with people from all around the world. My position as an officer will allow me to facilitate delegates in building strong connections with each other and form insightful debates about the issues presented to them. I look forward to working together to make this year’s conference the best.

Daniele Carlesso - Co-Chair

Delegates, welcome to the Security Council committee of the PANAMUN XXIV conference. My name is Daniele Carlesso and it is a great honor for me to be the Co-Chair of the Security Council during this conference. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela and moved to Panama when I was ten years old. I am currently a junior at the International School of Panama, and this is the first year I shall have a leadership position for which I am really excited. Ever since I was a child, I have liked defending my points of view even if they aren’t the most popular; therefore I have always had an affliction to all MUN conferences that are hosted across the world. During my years here in Panama I have had the opportunity to participate in several MUN conferences. As an eighth grader I had the privilege of being a delegate in  the NHSMUN conference in New York City, and for the last three years I have attended the PANAMUN conferences as a delegate. We have been working these past months in order to make this conference one of the best ones ever and we hope to make it a conference difficult to forget. We hope to see you all there with your amazing arguments and ready for a great debate.
