Nico Baker

Hello Delegates! My name is Nicholas Baker and during Panamun, I will be a senior at the International School Of Panama. I am honored to be one of the chairs of the CCPCJ committee in Panamun 30. I was born in Bogota, Colombia however I am also a quarter English and a quarter Norwegian. I lived in the United Kingdom for 12 years before I moved to Panama in 6th grade. I am very excited to be a chair for the first time after being a delegate for 3 years in Panamun. Panamun is an amazing experience and I can't wait to end my Panamun career by moderating a debate on my favorite committee, CCPCJ. Other than debating I love playing volleyball, surfing, playing golf, and playing the guitar. I also enjoy traveling and exploring new places with friends and family. I can't wait to meet all of my delegates and I wish you all the best of luck during Panamun 30.

Hello delegates! I hope you are all as excited as I am for PANAMUN 30. It is a great honor to be one of the chairs of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice. My name is Dara Deutsch, and I am currently a senior at ISP. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, but moved to Panama at 6 years old and have lived here ever since. As a freshman, I participated in my very first debate, where I represented Nigeria in the Human Rights Council (HRC). The year after that, I was part of the delegation of Spain in the World Health Organization (WHO), where I got to discuss current issues like the COVID pandemic in relation to the production of vaccines. Last conference, I participated as an Admin for the Comisión de Drogas y Narcóticos (CDN), which was an extremely gratifying experience where I was able to engage in a leadership role within  debate. It was because of my amazing experience as an admin that I decided to become a chair this year. I hope that as a chair, I can provide all delegates with a debate that can be stress-free, yet challenging and engaging. I hope to see you all in October!
