Maria Belén Mora

Hello delegates, welcome to PANAMUN XXX! My name is Maria Belén Mora and I’m more than honored to be one of the chairs for my favorite committee, UNW. I’m currently a junior at the International School of Panama and have been living in Panama since I was 3 years old. However, I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I started my MUN journey in 8th grade, but I didn’t really fall in love with debate until my sophomore year. Since then, I’ve attended 10 MUN conferences. I’ve been a chair in the past for, surprise surprise, UNW. Currently, I’m one of the diplomacy club leaders which is a club that has immensely helped me with my debate skills. Debate has helped me gain courage to do things I never thought I could do and has helped me inform myself more on the events that surround me. Outside of debate, I enjoy playing the guitar, reading, and hanging out with friends. But enough about me, I want to learn about you! I’m ecstatic to see all of you and I’m more than confident you will all partake in a fruitful debate. I’ll do my best to facilitate the process and create a safe environment for everyone to shine. If at any time you have any questions, don’t hesitate in contacting me. Can’t wait for October!

Adnan Elneser

Hello Delegates, I hope you are all well and as excited as I am for this year’s PANAMUN conference! My name is Adnan Elneser, I am a senior at the Metropolitan School of Panama and I have the privilege of chairing all of you this year in the United Nations Women Committee. I was born and raised almost all my life here in Panama, I then moved and lived a couple of years in Windsor, Canada when I was younger and then came back to Panama. I enjoy playing sports, mostly football, going to the gym, listening to music  and hanging around with my friends. Ever since I was little I was told that I loved talking, and it wasn’t until my dad pushed me to join my school’s debate club that I realized how much I enjoyed expressing myself and my different points of views. My debate journey began back in 2019 when I attended my first conference and was so scared to even speak up, but after attending countless debates I realized that with preparation and confidence the debating experience was something incredible, you expressed yourself and met countless new people.

I encourage you to give your all in this conference, not stress too much and have a lot of fun. I look forward to meeting you all.
