Sufian Daya - Chair

Hello Delegates, welcome to the Crisis Committee! I will be looking forward to working with you and ensuring you have a memorable experience at PANAMUN XXIV. I am Sufian Daya, and I will be your chair during the conference alongside my Co-Chair, Sofia Lagache. I was born in Panama City and have been a member of the ISP community for 7 years now. Currently, I am a 17-year-old senior making this my last MUN conference and the most meaningful one yet. My MUN career began in 9th grade where I was assigned a delegation within the Political Committee here at PANAMUN. Ever since, I have been in love with debate and it has become one of my passions. Throughout my high school years, I made sure to participate in various conferences such as CEPMOAS, EAGLEMUNC in Boston, PANAMUN, and other local conferences. All of these conferences have made me a better debater, and gave me an opportunity to learn and develop new skills such as public speaking, and researching. Without further ado, I am excited to meet you all and share this wonderful experience with you!

Sofia Lagache - Co-Chair

Hello delegates! First and foremost, I would like to cordially welcome you to PANAMUN XXIV. My name is Sofia Lagache and I will be this year’s co-chair for the crisis committee. I am currently a senior at ISP but I am originally from Argentina and have lived in Madrid and London for most of my life, having moved to Panama last year. Much like the presence of this committee at PANAMUN, my experience does not stretch too far back either yet I am very confident that with all the potential present at this year’s conference we will be able to make it the best committee yet. Although the outcome may not be a actual change per se, debating and participating in the discussions contributes to a change in awareness and perceptions, which brings us closer to the developments our world is in desperate need of; therefore, I can only express my hopes that you will get involved and step out of your comfort zones. What you get out of this debating experience can genuinely help you impact the world in a meaningful way. A word of advice: be prepared for the unexpected!
