Jaewook Lee - Chair

Greetings, delegates! First, I would like to welcome you all to the PANAMUN XXIV conference. My name is Jaewook Lee, and I am very honored to be the Head Chair for the CSTD committee in the PANAMUN XXIV. I am currently a senior in the International School of Panama, and I have been living in Panama for a year. I was born in South Korea, but I have also lived in India, Indonesia, and Colombia. This is my 2nd PANAMUN conference, but I have also attended 4 different MUN conferences in Colombia. I have always enjoyed attending MUN conferences because it introduced me to the world of international relations, awakened my interest in debating on global issues, and gave me the opportunity to work with some of the most talented individuals. Needless to say, all the MUN conferences I have participated in, especially PANAMUN XXIII, was an unforgettable experience. Once again, I am very excited to be attending PANAMUN XXIV and I look forward to meeting you all!

Emilio Tretenko - Co-Chair

Hello delegates, my name is Emelian Tretenko but you can call me Emilio, I will be your Co-Chair for the Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD). I am 17 years old and I am currently a senior at the International School of Panama. I was born in Russia, but have been living in Panama for most of my life. My experience with MUN goes back to the 9th grade, when it became obligatory for everyone in high school to attend the PANAMUN conference. I have been part of this amazing experience for the past three years and hope to make this one the most memorable. In my first PANAMUN I was more of an observer rather than a talker, this was basically because it was all so new and confusing. Throughout the years I have been able to participate to a greater extent and have actually gained a lot from the whole conference. This is why I am looking forward to this year’s conference more than the last, because I believe that with your cooperation we will be able to create an amazing environment in which we will be able to start up many fruitful debates in order to get the most out of this amazing conference.
