Sebastian Montenegro - Chair

My name is Sebastian Montenegro and I’ve formed part of the ISP family for almost eight years now. Ever since the eighth grade, I’ve been an active member of PANAMUN conferences as I have already participated in three of such events to this day. During this extended amount of time, I’ve traveled to New York City to participate in an international middle school model united nation conference known as Global Classrooms, I’ve had the sufficient amount of debate experience here in the conferences hosted in our own campus, I’ve proudly received an honorable mention during the PANAMUN XXI conference while representing the United States in the environmental committee, and I’ve successfully chaired the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission in PANAMUN XXIII. My first and foremost goal for PANAMUN XXIV is to make it my best conference yet. Its going to be a tough target, based on all my unforgettable past experiences, but I am certain that with lots of hard work and dedication, everything is possible. So, without further ado, I welcome each and everyone of the delegates to PANAMUN XXIV.

Claudia Tiller - Co-Chair

Before anything else, I would like to welcome the delegates of this year’s PANAMUN XXIV session! My name is Claudia Tiller and I am currently a junior at the International School of Panama. Even though I am originally from New York City, I am also Canadian, British, and Taiwanese. I am a person with a variety of hobbies and I am always excited to learn something new. My experience with MUN began in the eighth grade when I participated as a delegate at PANAMUN XXI and the Global Classrooms conference in New York City. Since then, I have taken part in two reputable EagleMUNC conferences, debated at PANAMUN XXII, and was a chair for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Committee at last year’s PANAMUN XXIII. I have always enjoyed MUN because it gives me a deeper insight on global issues that heavily influence how we live, and because I have learned a lot by observing how quickly delegates are able to think in heated confrontations on single topics. Words cannot begin to describe how honored I feel to take part in this prodigious experience. I encourage you delegates to speak as much as possible since the conference’s outcomes will depend on that. I look forward with great enthusiasm to meeting each and every one of you, and I have no doubt that this year’s conference will be enriched with debate!
