CHAIRS
Juan Lucas Oblitas
Hi delegates! My name is Juan Lucas Oblitas and I am currently a Junior at the International School of Panama. I am from Lima, Peru but I have lived in Panama the last 12 years. Out of curiosity, I joined PANAMUN in seventh grade and it was my first ever debate experience. Since my first conference, I have grown to enjoy debating more and more. This year would be my 4th time participating in PANAMUN. I have learned a lot in the last few years as a delegate in PANAMUN and I am sure this will be a great experience and will have as much fun as I had being a delegate. Apart from debating, some of my favorite hobbies are listening to music, reading, and spending time with my friends. I highly look forward to being a chair in UNHCR in this year's PANAMUN conference and I am excited to see you guys debate!
Sophia Villegas
Hi delegates! My name is Sophia Villegas, I am currently a sophomore at the International School of Panama. I am honored to be one of the chairs for the in PANAMUN 30th. I was born in Miami, United States but my entire family is from Venezuela and I lived there for the first 5 years of my life, I then moved to Panama where I have happily lived for the last 10 years. I participated in my first MUN conference in 6th grade, and there I discovered my passion for debate. This will be my 9th MUN conference and my first time being a chair. I will do my best to ensure that we will all have a fun, engaging, and collaborative debate. Looking forward to meeting and seeing all of you in the debate!
