The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) was established on December 11th, 1946 in New York, The United Nations Children’s Fund was created with aims of helping and protecting every child and mother in humanitarian need after the devastating effects of World War II. Since then, with its 36 members, this organization’s main goal has been to help children’s welfare; more specifically, it seeks to improve children’s education, rights, health, and nutrition all across the globe. In the present days, it is operating at a global level in over 190 countries. The main sponsors of UNICEF, who carry important roles in the funding of aid, include various governments and private contributors. Every child has the right to grow in a safe and inclusive environment where they are able to reach their fullest potential which is what UNICEF aspires towards.
