CHAIRS
Diego Mainardi
Hello, delegates! My name is Diego Mainardi, I’m 16 years old and currently in my junior year at the International School of Panama. I was born in Venezuela, but I moved to Panama after 3 years in Venezuela and since then have lived my whole life here! I enjoy playing tennis, listening to music, and being with my friends and family. I am very excited to be one of the chairs of the UNICEF committee. This is my third PANAMUN conference and my second conference in person. I have participated as a delegate in the UNICEF committee during my years in PANAMUN, and I have grown to love being part of the UNICEF committee. In my first year of PANAMUN, due to the pandemic, it was held online and I didn’t get to fully experience what PANAMUN truly is, but in my second year I truly fell in love with PANAMUN and I became very passionate about the whole experience and the UNICEF committee as a whole. I believe that PANAMUN gives you the opportunity to challenge yourself by standing up for what you believe while also being a very fun experience! I hope I can share my love and passion with all of you and I’m looking forward to meeting all of you! Good luck to all of you and I’m excited to share the best experience of PANAMUN so far! See you soon!
Sofia Roldan
Hey, delegates! My name is Sofia Roldan and I am currently a senior at the International School of Panama. I am very honored to be one of the chairs of this year’s UNICEF committee and look forward to meeting each and every one of you. I was originally born in Boston, however, because of my parent’s work, we had to move several times and ended up living all over the world. This is now going to be my third year in Panama City. Ever since I started my MUN experience as a freshman in high school, I’ve loved debating and the experience that comes along with it as well. This conference is a great opportunity to learn from different perspectives and develop various skills such as public speaking and critical thinking. Apart from debate, I enjoy reading, playing tennis, and spending time with my family and friends. I am more than excited to meet you in October and ensure you have the best experience so far! Best of luck to all and hope to see you soon!
