CHAIRS

Welcome delegates of PANAMUN session XXV!  My name is Juliana Tupper and I will be one of the chairs for Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural Committee (SOCHUM) alongside Daniela Hwang. I am currently a senior at the International School of Panama. I am originally from Venezuela, however, I departed from the country at the young age of 7 and moved to Colombia and then to Panama; I have now lived here for 9 years. This will be my first year in the chairing position, but I am excited to experience my last PANAMUN through a different perspective. In previous years, I was part of Echopress team as a journalist and a photographer which has contributed to my decision to pursue a career in communications. I enjoy reading, playing soccer, photography and sleeping.

Furthermore, I’m thrilled about this year’s theme “Closing Gaps” and am excited to read all the notable resolutions that are thought of! If you have any doubts or questions please don’t hesitate to contact me. See you soon for an amazing conference!

Welcome to the PANAMUN XXV conference! My name is Daniela Hwang and I am currently a senior at the International school of Panama. Although I was born in Brazil, and lived there for 10 years, my ethnicity lies in Korea. I have pursued enriching my MUN experience with a variety of enjoyable responsibilities for the past years—I was a delegate, a reporter, and this year, I am chairing the Social, Humanitarian & Cultural Committee (SOCHUM) with Juliana Tupper. I am greatly honored to be chairing for this committee this year, for I have always been passionate about scrutinizing and analyzing social and political issues through journalism. My other interests entail listening to music and eating exotic food! I look forward to meeting each and every one of you, and I can say with my utmost confidence that this year’s conference will be magnificent.
