Welcome to PANAMUN XXV! My name is Juneyoung Seo and I’m currently a Junior at the International School of Panama. I was born as South Korea, but I have spent half of my life in Poland and Panama. I was a delegate in PANAMUN XXIII and PANAMUN XXIV, and have participated in different kinds of debate clubs as well as conferences such as NFL in South Korea. All these conferences have been a huge experience in terms of learning and recognizing global issues. As a PANAMUN contributor, I might lack experience however, I have tried to create sustainable ideas for the world. As a chair of United Nations Environmental Programme, I am very excited to meet you all and listen to your ideas for the world. It will be a long process, but I am certain that with large effort, hard work, and dedication, all delegates will certainly make the ideas come true. I would love to see all delegates enjoy, and be confident during the conference. So, without a further delay, I look forward to meeting each and every one of you and your high contribution to the PANAMUN XXV conference!

Welcome to PANAMUN XXV, delegates! I am Sofia Karter, and I am beyond excited to be chairing the United Nations Environment Programme in this year’s conference. I am 16 years old, and currently a junior at the International School of Panama. I come from the Dominican Republic, but I have lived in Panama for 10 years. Some of the activities I take part in outside of school are tennis, swimming, piano, and of course, debate! Since my first debate conference back in eighth grade, PANAMUN XXII, I discovered that I enjoyed defending strong points of views and being a delegate. This is what motivated me to participate as one in PANAMUN for the past two years, and then in HACIA Democracy XXII. This is my first time ever being a chair, and I am looking forward to experiencing the conference from a new and different position. Heated debates on interesting topics are tons of fun and I hope that during this conference you can engage in fruitful and intriguing discussions to make the most out of PANAMUN XXV!
